Henk Timmer appointed as member of the Supervisory Board

Upon the nomination by the Supervisory Board of Athora Netherlands N.V. (Athora Netherlands), the shareholder has appointed Henk Timmer as a member of the Supervisory Board of Athora Netherlands and its insurance subsidiaries, as of 20 September 2022. The Dutch Central Bank (DNB) has approved this appointment. 

Henk Timmer (1961) has held various management and board positions in the Dutch insurance and pensions sector. From 2014 until March this year, he was Chief Risk Officer and member of the Board of Directors at Achmea. Henk has an educational background in economics, audit and risk management.

In his career, he has accumulated extensive executive leadership experience and a broad knowledge of the life insurance and pensions sector in the Netherlands. As of 20 September, the Supervisory Board of Athora Netherlands consists of the following members: Roderick Munsters (chairman), Hanny Kemna, Floris Deckers, Michele Bareggi, Elisabeth Bourqui and Henk Timmer.
